I'm challenging myself to use every song off of Ava Max's Diamonds and Dancefloors and oh boy did I get creative with this one.
In case it's confusing, here's the narrative: First verse is V's partnership with J, they were at least buddies, maybe in the historical sense, maybe not. V realizing that the way J thinks is not the way she thinks. Second verse is N deciding he's had enough of J's abuse. Realizing that he now knows what a healthy friendship/relationship looks like. And J wasn't it. I hope that clears it up.
I implied Jayvee for storytelling purposes. (I refuse to call that its mainstream name until someone explains to me why it's called that.)
Nuzi is also in here, again, storytelling. As I stated, I wanted to illustrate N realizing what a healthy relationship is like.
And J's old design makes a cameo because I'm silly. (I mean, it's J, yelling at J, it's too perfect!)
We hate her for her actions and stupidity. But we love her because she's hot, she hates marketing, and she's a trans icon. I'm realizing more and more that liking a character is so complicated sometimes.
