Here is a first look at the 2024 Nortent Ly1 backpacking tent. This is a 4 season tent with a tunnel tent design yet is a solo tent. It's made for winter camping with it's thick fabrics, 9.5mm poles and 22 pegs. Snow and wind shouldn't be a problem for this Nortent Ly 1 person tent.
It's top quality backpacking gear and costs approx. £500. You could take this winter tent solo wild camping in some seriously adverse weather conditions and this tent should stand up to pretty much any weather you could throw at it.
Tunnel tents are known for their strength and wind capabilities if pitched correctly. These tents are very quick to initially pitch but then take a bit more time to perfect. It has 7 guy lines on each side. This is very well made camping gear. There are lots of features and details that really set it apart from it's competition.
However, the build quality does come at a cost and that's it's weight. Mines weighs 3.120kg which is a lot for any one person tent. Add the 495g footprint and it starts to weigh you down a bit. However, for shorter hiking trips it shouldn't be a problem.
