This is NOT my video (I would never buy a Sony TV), it was "stolen" from Twitter or X or whatever the hell it's called now, posted by "It Came From the VCR" who has a channel here but hasn't uploaded anything in a while. There is no sound. I felt it my duty to share this, as one thing I hate more than anything in the world is interfaces butting into video content which I've previously shared examples of. A while ago as a joke, someone posted a picture of that shot of Anthony Perkins with a menu of "Suggested Titles" at the bottom of the screen. APPLE of all companies made that joke a reality recently, to promote "Friends" of all things!
Looking at movies on my Apple TV (which isn't even my main streaming device, I have one of every major one), it seems they are striving to minimize the screen when about 15 seconds is left in any movie or show- including ones you have PURCHASED for a permanent collection. I checked "Psycho" and they have already fixed it so that it now plays clear to the end, but doing this to ANY movie is entirely unacceptable and enough prior viewings of "Psycho" were already ruined by this. Even if it's "just" the last 15 seconds, this proves that cutting into that can still ruin the ending of a movie as "Psycho" does not even have any ending credits. Apple SHOULD have killed all further development of this "feature" and while it was not present on several movies I checked, there were some that still did this. I've been using Apple products since 1981, but because of this I no longer will unless they can publicly apologize for it. I certainly won't be buying or renting any movies from iTunes or Apple TV anymore. Apple was the last company I would expect to do something like this, but sadly I was wrong. (I once thought Netflix was a great company also, but look at them now.)
