Today I put a sign in the hallway that said:

“It’s dangerous to go solo. Take a Wookie with you.”

Underneath were little tear-away Chewbacca tabs students could grab on their way to lunch.

At the end of the day, a student held up his tiny Wookie and said,
“It’s working. I feel good today.”

Never underestimate the power of small, intentional joy in your classroom or hallway.

You don’t have to change the whole school.
Just sweep your porch.
