I like to think that all the people who commented Now Jules has to hold Adriana with one hand and play guitar with the other didnt actually expect me to do it.
When recording this, I actually did an entire run of is with picked notes because I kept thinking that there HAS to be some point later on that makes playing it all in legato would be impossible, but as it turned out, it wasnt and I realized that I was committing to the bit. We had a lot of fun with trying to figure out how to pull off the visual aspect of this cover so I hope you guys appreciate the effort put into it!
Jack has been wearing a motorcycle helmet for these which mutes out all of the noise around him so we were both in a very interesting filming set up for this one. Its been really fun banging out the week 7 songs for you guys and I hope you enjoyed how we chose to take them on! Thanks for watching!

Silver Snow was the second route I did after Crimson Flower. I had saved right before th emain decision out of luck and was happy I could take this route. It still blows my mind how anyone could go through any story for the first time and come to the conclusion that it was the right one and theres no way the others could have been better. Its really a showcase of the excellent writing. That being said, Silver Snow definitely felt like as canon an ending it we were going to get since it answered most of the questions still left over from some of the other endings.
Anyway, this song was really tough and super intense to put together. I had help from Jester Musician on the transcription since this was a very notably busy week for me and I almost didnt get this done in time for todays release. Not only is the song in varying subdivisions of 12/8 throughout, the chords are THICC and the leads are complicated and fast. Definitely feels like the most difficult average across all stages of the process and performance. This is one I dont imagine the majority of people will watch, but it was clear in the comments of all the other covers that this was the one to hit up next. I hope you enjoy it!
Also, I still think Edelgard did nothing wrong.

I was glued to my TV when I first started Bowsers Fury. I honestly dont know what I expected, but I didnt expect what felt like a Super Mario Odyessy quality Mario experience, albeit, shorter of course. I had an absolutely blast getting all 100 shines within 24 hours of installing the game (with some time to play 3D World with Adriana in there too!), but the real reason I was excited to dig into this was the trailer that was released and about a million messages immediately asking if I was going to cover this once it was heard.
Ive always been iffy on covering things that are already metal, it takes a lot of the creative process out and some of the reward for getting to hear a composition ramped up in intensity. Lately, Ive been really trying to let go of that and find that songs like this have their fun in the playing rather than the production as theyre actually written for the instrument Im playing it with (wow, imagine that). This was a lot of fun and I tried to still ramp up the intesity with it.
I usually go with someone else for vocals, but I think Im finally reaching a point of saying f*ck it and just going for stuff like this even if I dont feel confident. I did vocals for my Red Dead Redemption 2 cover mostly as a joke, but people seemed to really enjoy them and also the back up vocals I did for Devil Trigger and Rules of Nature.
