The Israeli military said it is conducting “extensive strikes” in Lebanon early Monday morning.

The Israeli army warned residents in southern Lebanon to move away from areas Hezbollah uses for military purposes.

People in southern Lebanon have reportedly been receiving text and voice messages, warning them to keep clear from “residential buildings that are being used by Hezbollah for hiding weapons".

Over the weekend, Hezbollah launched 150 rockets, missiles and drones into Israel.

Israel also carried out air strikes into southern Lebanon and said the attack destroyed thousands of the militia's rocket launchers.
