Hamas and Gaza cannot simply be repackaged under a new international arrangement and declared solved. After October 7, Israel must scrutinize any Gaza reconstruction plan involving Qatar, Turkey, UN institutions and international guarantees while Hamas disarmament remains the central security question.

We sacrificed too much fighting Hamas and dismantling terror infrastructure to repeat the assumptions that failed before October 7. Israel's security must come before diplomatic fantasies about postwar Gaza.
