The MV for my latest single, Islands, is filled with lots of easter eggs, symbolisms, and hidden messages. I co-directed this with my amazing friend Pau Tiu (whose vision and design sensibilities I trust wholeheartedly) so it really means a lot to me to be able to take you through each scene, each lighting setup, each prop that we worked on together.
Iโve been super hands-on with all my music videos (even so far as developing the branding of the Grammar Patrol and hand sewing patches for troop) and thatโs the way I like it. I always prepare the storyboard before we begin, and I collaborate with my director, cinematographer, PD, and editor to be able to make the magic in my head happen in real life. I couldnโt be more pleased with how the MV turned out, and itโs all thanks to my amazing team.
