Responsible nutrient management is an indispensable part of sustainable agriculture. As such, farmers and researchers are seeking to enhance nutrient use efficiency — the amount of yield a farmer gets out of the amount of fertilizer (or other amendment) put in — while minimizing nutrient loss.
