Living in Zurich, we hike the Stoos Ridge Trail every summer. So we’ve got 10 insider tips for making the most of this exciting and popular hike.
(ad) The top tip is to stay overnight at Stoos Lodge so you can easily get an early start on this popular trail. This also allows you to enjoy the sunset on the alps - even from the cliffs overlooking Lake Lucerne if you stay on a Saturday night.
Staying longer means you have more time to enjoy the other charms of Stoos, like a refreshing after-hike swim in the little lake and sampling cheese from honesty stops at the alpine dairies.
If you have kids, you can visit all three playgrounds with different views and do the marble run and activity trail around the moor.
