The Pre-Pottery Neolithic site of Sayburç in Turkey is yet another fascinating ancient complex in that part of the world. One of its most impressive features is a carving in the side of a bench, the principle figure of which depicts a man holding his phallus. Experts think the relief carving tells a story, which would make it the oldest narrative scene in the world.
