🇳🇪🇳🇬 He’s Nigeria’s former Central Bank Governor, an ex-Emir, and an Islamic leader. But, above all, he is one of the very few prominent leaders from abroad that has been granted a one-to-one meeting with the leader of the coup in Niger, General Abdourahamane Tchiani.

So far, the man who ousted President Bazoum has snubbed representatives of the US and the African Union, just to name a few.

The BBC's Nkechi Ogbonna explains why Sanusi Lamido Sanusi could become a potential negotiator to the #Niger crisis.
