We have been eating fish n chips at Whitby for over 20 years and tried almost all of the fish n chip shops there, never once having a bad meal but some were better than others. The Magpie was our initial favourite, before moving over to Hadley's for a number of years, then finalising on our present favourite, Mr Chips on Church Street at Whitby. A few people had said standards had been dropping at Mr Chips, so I decided to go down and do a full review when I was at Whitby for the Pirate Festival but unfortunately, I lost part of the footage, so a return visit was required this week. This is what I found out!
