First, a former Jehovah’s Witness asks about the connection between God’s glory in Exodus 33, Paul’s extraordinary statement about seeing “the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” in 2 Corinthians 4:6, and the vision of God in Revelation 22. Tom argues that the New Testament turns our normal theological method on its head: rather than deciding what God must be like and then trying to fit Jesus into that picture, we discover who God is by looking at Jesus.
