NOTE: It has been brought to my attention that other statements included in (earlier?) printed NKJVs did specifically name Scrivener as the text used by the NKJV translators. These statements were not in prefatory material but in an appendix I was not aware of. I am planning a follow-up video on this matter. This does not change my overall assessment (see especially the three options for what to make of all this), but it's a small additional blight on the NKJV translators for inexplicably failing to follow their textual basis in a few apparently random placesโeven if they happen to match other TRs.
