The MCU's "Secret Invasion" had the second-worst premiere of all time for the MCU behind only Ms. Marvel -- and it's not at all clear what the show offers to fans beyond another tired Marvel installment. By leaning into demographic box-checking and lining up plots to offer some commentary on current events, Marvel is abandoning the unique, original storytelling that made it so incredible.
