A follow up to my previous video youtu.be/aA7xtb3Uj08 comparing bird eye tracking to animal eye tracking when photographing birds. I try to address the previous concerns mentioned in that video. This time I'm running Firmware 5.20. I also photographed mostly gulls along with shorebirds and one flycatcher. The gulls are a very classic bird shape so should be ideal for the system to recognize. This time around I tested using AF modes 3d, Wide Area Large, Wide Area Small, and Auto Area. Every time the animal eye tracking worked better with birds farther away. The only test I wasn't able to do this time around was for birds in flight which I hope to try in the near future. If anyone has any answers as to why this is the case please share them with me!
