Johnny Sauter is one of the greatest drivers to ever race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. From his 2016 championship to 24 career wins, he has had a strong NASCAR development arc. However, the past 62 races have been a disaster. From intentionally wrecking Austin Hill to missing the playoffs 2 years in a row it hasn’t been a Johnny Sauter like 3 years. Now the question for the 2022 NASCAR silly season becomes whether Johnny Sauter will be returning or retiring after this season. That debate is just the tip of the iceberg to see whether the once storied legend will retire either on a high note or on this slump.
