This is the beginning of a new video series (like the one DoodleChaos does) that takes a seemingly impossible task and solves it using a Rube Goldberg machine. This is the first video in my series. The machine took 36 takes (it worked on the 36th) to work, but I think the hard work (and luck!) paid off. Hope you enjoy watching!

CLIP STATS:
Time taken to build: I built one clip (the second one on the old table) back in August, but the rest were built since the end of September
Number of fails: 96 total, which averages out to about 11 fails per clip. Pretty good if you ask me.
Favorite tricks: Track swinging underneath pong shot, track attached to spinning chain, and speed-changing piston
Most failed tricks: Rotating ball lift (32 fails), track swinging underneath pong shot (17 fails)
Most frustrating trick: Rotating ball lift
Predicted fan favorite: Track attached to spinning chain
Dominoes vs. Machines is my favorite series that I do, and I always put a ton of work into each annual episode. I can definitely say that this years episode is the best Dominoes vs. Machines yet! There are quite a few clips that I made for this that I would say are among my best screenlink clips Ive ever made.
This was also the first video I made (almost) completely in my new building space in my college dorm. As you can see, I have almost all of my normal materials here, so I wasnt limited at all by what I was able to build with. I was also happy that the constraints of the space have not limited my creativity, or my ability to keep creating basically any idea I have.
One interesting note about the clips I made this year: None of them had a very large amount of fails. In fact, the most fails I had on a clip was 32, which is pretty good, but the second-most was only 17. So Im not sure how, but all of these clips were decently reliable, as far as typical screenlink clips go. I even had a one-take wonder on one of them!
