When you can pick up bikes super cheap from Facebook Market place or eBay you have to wonder if a bike is worth the service costs. This one was just on the line of being worth the effort. It all depends on how worn out key parts are.
Top tips.
Rim Brake Wheels - If they are worn, it is often cheaper to replace than rebuild now.
Key Rotating parts - If there is play and wobble, this can get costly. A little rust is recoverable.
Tyres - These can get costly, but shop around for bargains especially in rim brake sizes.
This service took 1 hour (£60) and used one set of brake pads £7
It was already scratched and battered, so let's just make it work for as little cash as possible.
