Is GLP-1 Just Painless Anorexia? The Dangerous Truth About Weight Loss Drugs
GLP-1 medications can be a tool—but like any tool, how they’re used matters.
They may help reduce intense cravings or help someone get control of binge eating patterns in the beginning. For some people, that can create enough space to start building healthier habits.
But there’s a big difference between helping control destructive cravings… and suppressing the natural desire to eat altogether.
When appetite is shut down too much, people can end up barely eating at all. The scale may drop, but so can muscle mass, energy, nutrient status, hormone balance, and overall health.
Malnourishment is not health.
Weight loss alone is not healing.
Fatigue, weakness, slowed metabolism, hair loss, digestive problems, immune dysfunction, and worsening illness can all follow when the body is chronically underfed.
The goal should never be to starve your body into submission.
The most powerful transformations I’ve seen happen when people finally nourish themselves correctly—giving the body the nutrients it needs to repair, restore, and thrive.
When inflammation comes down, hormones improve, insulin sensitivity returns, and the body starts functioning the way it was designed to…
Weight loss happens naturally.
Not as the goal.
As the side effect.
That’s real health.
I’m not interested in helping people just lose weight.
I’m interested in helping them gain their life back.
Because true healing isn’t about being thinner.
It’s about being stronger, clearer, freer, and fully alive.
