Is FF7 Rebirth Cultural Vandalism?
The original Final Fantasy 7 (1997) by Squaresoft. The Square Enix retrilogy "improved" upon it massively, unhindered by those pesky hardware limitations. Finally we get see how this JRPG classic was always meant to look, now with Kingdom Hearts bosses, PG anime writing, non stop grunting in the voice acting, Sephiroth every 5 seconds and Whispers / fate ghosts. Starring Cloud, Tifa, Aeris, Barret, Red XIII, Rufus and more. On launch, this game was hype. The blueprint was so good, how could Square Enix possibly mess up? But true to their character, they found every way conceivable. Rebirth was so appallingly bad it woke millions of people up, and in hindsight we can see Final Fantasy 7 Remake for what it really is: All flash and no substance. An expensive, bloated, cringe and boring. A wasteland of broken dreams and disappointment. I don't have a good feeling about the sales of FF7 Remake Part 3. Tune in Spring 2027 for FF7 Revelation
