I was nervous before I came to Colombia. I had heard so many stories about people getting robbed and that the Colombia was becoming more dangerous. But I live in Mexico, a very dangerous country. Find out which country is more dangerous, Mexico or Colombia.
I am a Mexican and I have been making videos about living in Mexico and travelling around Mexico for years now. But I don't normally talk about the important topic of the situation with crime in Mexico and whether it is safe. I always see questions where people ask "is Mexico safe" or "is Mexico safe for tourists?".
I have been travelling in Colombia for two months now and before I came, I was worried about safety. My good friend Tah Jetiyamon was robbed at knifepoint in Medellin and was left very shaken by the incident. I have also read a lot of reports about Colombia becoming more dangerous and this shaped my attitudes about the county before I had even arrived.
