Climate change kills. And we see that in the increasing numbers of extreme events claiming lives - heatwaves, wildfires, flash floods (to name examples from this month alone).
But to claim that 4 BILLION (half the global population) could die by 2050? That's unfounded. It's already bad enough.
Deaths from climate extremes are preventable - and politicians need to take note. To avoid further casualties, we need urgent, decisive action to cut emissions to net zero, asap.
