VIDEO INFO: From a live show at the BBC Radio Theatre on Tuesday 27 June 2000, literally a couple of days after DB’s landmark return-to-form set at Glastonbury.
While this more intimate gig didn’t seem to have a specific purpose, it was a welcome continuation of the reboot to give fans what they had (mostly) been craving after what seemed like a couple of decades of chuffing about – straight, expertly performed versions of the favourite hits.
Although the various characters were back in the wardrobe, he seemed to compensate by consistently reproducing whatever hairstyle Helen Mirren was sporting at the time, hence the lion’s mane on display here…
