One last visit to IRM this year.
After a long and pretty stressful work week, I finally had a day where I could dedicate a full day of railfanning to, and so I decided to head out to the Illinois Railway Museum for their Happy Holiday Railway event! The day prior brought a pretty large amount of snow to the area which made the day even more special for photos. The day wasn't too crazy as we did see CNW 411 and the Bi-Level set acting as the main train as well as one of the North Shore Line cars and CTA 3142 running around, as well as various light displays around the grounds, and a good look at BNSF 9400 which was outside for the day. Despite the cold and soaking feet at the end of the day, this was a good way to end the 2025 season at IRM, looking forward to next year! Enjoy!
