It was such a great day, weather wise, that I just had to get out. I would have kicked myself otherwise. The sun was shining, skies were blue and it promised to be an incredible sunset, and al of this in the early stages of November, surely something was amiss?
I headed out to shoot a scene that I'd shot previously during my stay in Japan but I wanted to have the sequence mastered in 8K for future posterity to I swung out to the Odaiba Island area to shoot a transitioning time-lapse as the day gave way to the early evening, and to do so with a panning motion courtesy of the Kessler Crane Second Shooter Plus and TLS Rail, again from Kessler Crane.
I was also shooting on a new Canon EOS5DSr body using an Irix 15mm f2.4 super wide angle lens, again a relatively new delivery and something I'd been shooting pretty extensively with over the past couple of weeks.
Other than schlepping the gear into place the evening went without too many hitches. The equipment setup was a breeze and is fast becoming second nature this now being about the fifth time-lapse shoot I've done with it all as one set of gear.
