"Mehr-e Khavaran" is the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran which was adopted in 1990, replacing the previous anthem used during the rule of Ruhollah Khomeini. It was composed by Hassan Riyahi, and the lyrics were written by Sayed Bagheri. It is the fourth national anthem of Iran overall.

The national flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a tricolour of equal horizontal bands of green, white, and red, featuring the Islamic emblem in red centred on the white band, and the Arabic Takbir written 11 times each in white Kufic script along the edges of the green and red bands.
