In this video, Dylan from Alarm Grid shows you how to test the Zigbee daughter card through the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 test options. He then shows you how to default a Zigbee sensor and how to add it to the IQ Panel 4 using Auto-Learn.

It's very important to note that to use Zigbee sensors or automation devices with the IQ Panel 4 you must first install the Zigbee daughter card. The part number for the Zigbee card is QC000E-840. You can see a video on how to install the card here:

Once the Zigbee daughter card is installed and verified to be working you're ready to pair Zigbee devices. Pairing a Zigbee sensor with the IQ Panel 4 is the same as pairing with any other type of wireless sensor. You put the system into Auto-Learn mode, then either power up the sensor or activate the tamper or learn switch.

Once the sensor is paired, you should verify that it is working properly. The IQ Panel 4 allows you to view the statistical information for the sensor. You do this by navigating to system tests, then selecting Zigbee Test. All Zigbee devices will be shown with their signal strength. You can click the More button to the right to view more granular status information. Note, a sensor may need to be installed and working for a short while before all of the information, such as battery status, is available.
