In this HowFixit guide, I show how to replace the iPhone 16 Pro USB-C charging port when your phone won’t charge, has poor contact, or fails to connect to a computer. We’ll cover safe disassembly, removing the back glass, disconnecting the battery and back glass cable, taking out the Taptic Engine and bottom speaker, and replacing the charging port flex. Then we’ll reassemble, test charging, and restore water resistance with fresh waterproof adhesive.
Tools used: Pentalobe 0.8 mm, Tri-Wing 0.8 mm, Phillips 1 mm, Standoff 1.5 mm, tweezers, plastic pry tools, suction cup, screen separator, magnetic mat, isopropyl alcohol (91%+), waterproof adhesive tape.
