I drove my 2022 F‑150 Lightning Lariat Extended Range down I‑95 for a weird little L-shaped trip: Roanoke Rapids → Rocky Mount Electrify America to intercept an @OutofSpecReviews range test (Rivian R2, Rivian R1S, Porsche Cayenne EV range spec, Tesla Model Y Performance) → Wilson, Kenly, Dunn → Hope Mills Circle K (new IONNA site) and back to Charlotte. I charged, poked at site gear, and watched four cars do a side‑by‑side range run.
You’ll see me top‑charge the Rivian R2 off the Lightning using Pro Power Onboard + my J+ Booster 2 (Tesla Gen2 UMC doesn’t work on the R2), hang out while the R1S painfully top‑balanced at ~3 kW, and nerd out over EA cabinet adapter plates and the clever concrete work at the new Alpitronic installs. I hit a personal peak of ~192 kW on a fast charger, took advantage of the IONNA 20¢/kWh launch at the Circle K, and paid about $13 for ~62 kWh. Trip totals: 533.7 miles, ~1.8 mi/kWh, and ~76k miles on the truck.
