I initially thought this was a problem caused by MCEdit and made a bug report for it, but really it was just me messing with spawner minecarts to the point where Minecraft didn't like it, while working on my first MCEdit filter. I don't even know if it still works or if the download down below is anything decent (added it about a year later), however I just thought it'd be a fun video to publish anyway. ;-)

UPDATE: This design was NOT the record-holder at the time of uploading. Random Redstone made an almost identical design (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ep6tEXi_XpU) and uploaded it over two weeks before this video was recorded. Although I cant prove anything, I will just say this once again: I try to be original, we just happened to make the same inventions independently. Nevertheless, of course, he still deserves the record since he uploaded it first. Credits to him! :)
This is just a little redstone contraption I thought would be worth showing: a seamless glass door for a 2-high, 1-wide tunnel, with the contraption only being 10 blocks long, 1 block wide and 4 blocks high, totalling 40 blocks. Because of this, I decided to make a video about it, since the smallest design I could find was 60 blocks in size, by TheRedstoneDoc (links at the bottom of the description).
So heres just a recap of the things you will need:
- Some building blocks
- 2 Glass
- 4 Redstone dust
- 1 Redstone torch
- 3 Redstone repeaters
- 1 Redstone comparator
- 6 Normal pistons (can be sticky, but this isnt recommended)
- 2 Sticky pistons
- 1 Dropper
- 1 Hopper
- 1 Random item to put into the dropper
- A lever is used to represent the input in this tutorial
