The main thing I forgot to mention in this video (I knew I wasn't properly explaining things): you can drop dragon eggs using a static machine as well, but after 4 layers it becomes useless and has to be moved. This flying machine moves along as you remove bedrock, allowing you to remove bedrock indefinitely without having to rebuild it. ;-) Thanks for Conspiracy for motivating me to create this, it turned to be a fairly fun project.

UPDATE: This design was NOT the record-holder at the time of uploading. Random Redstone made an almost identical design (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ep6tEXi_XpU) and uploaded it over two weeks before this video was recorded. Although I cant prove anything, I will just say this once again: I try to be original, we just happened to make the same inventions independently. Nevertheless, of course, he still deserves the record since he uploaded it first. Credits to him! :)
This is just a little redstone contraption I thought would be worth showing: a seamless glass door for a 2-high, 1-wide tunnel, with the contraption only being 10 blocks long, 1 block wide and 4 blocks high, totalling 40 blocks. Because of this, I decided to make a video about it, since the smallest design I could find was 60 blocks in size, by TheRedstoneDoc (links at the bottom of the description).
So heres just a recap of the things you will need:
- Some building blocks
- 2 Glass
- 4 Redstone dust
- 1 Redstone torch
- 3 Redstone repeaters
- 1 Redstone comparator
- 6 Normal pistons (can be sticky, but this isnt recommended)
- 2 Sticky pistons
- 1 Dropper
- 1 Hopper
- 1 Random item to put into the dropper
- A lever is used to represent the input in this tutorial

So, here we are. One of my main goals running this game was to make it into the speedrun.com top 100. This run ranks in 85th at the time of uploading. :) Ill probably still run this game every once in a while like I used to, but at this point I dont really have any clear next goal in mind. As for the run itself: not too much to say, plenty of mistakes, also some not-too-hard tricks which I considered too risky to try anyway, that kind of stuff. I mean, Im in 85th, dont expect this to be some top-notch run, its just me sharing what will likely be my PB for a while. ;-)
Then, finally, the game crashing. I cant say this is some well-agreed upon strategy, but I decided to keep this run anyway, submit it to speedrun.com, and publish it here if it got verified, which ended up happening. Why I kept it:
- This time still isnt anywhere near the best runs, so I dont feel like it matters as much.
- In pausing and unpausing I still lost about 8 seconds which I would normally have had. Even though I also think its unfair I lost those, Im fine with surrendering them and calling it a day.
- I published all the footage I had of the incident, not like that proves anything, though Id hope it provides a bit more legitimacy to some.
- If I were to count the time while Im restarting everything, this run would be minutes over my previous PB and it really wouldnt be worth uploading, so that wasnt really an option either.
All of that being said, I certainly do hope I can get a faster, clean run of this game not too long from now, maybe somewhere before 2017 would be nice. Nevertheless, for the time being, Im sticking with this.
