Introducing Waulinbakh Wildlife Sanctuary, previously Gorton Forest Sanctuary, this oasis sits on the traditional lands of the Worimi people and is a haven for local wildlife. After discussions between AWC and representatives of two local Aboriginal Corporations, a Gathang language word was selected to rename the sanctuary. 'Waulinbakh' translates to Greg Gum Place, with the Gathang word for Grey Gum (Eucalyptus propinqua) being Warlingbang.
