Before anyone asks, Ollie is neutered so they will not have babies.

Here are Lilly and Ollie's first moments together. Sorry about the rubbish camera work, I was too busy watching these two cuties!

It went so much better than I expected, I have never introduced a male/ female pair, only ever two boars and it is a very different experience, much louder! You can see from my old introduction videos linked below. I put music to this because there was really no sounds from them, only the odd little squeak which you couldn't really hear over the fridge. I used the kitchen for the introduction as it is a neutral area which they hardly ever go in so none of the piggies would see it as invading 'their territory'.

Here are my videos on how to introduce piggies, I may do an updated one soon if it's something you'd like to see. All the information is still relevant if you are thinking of introducing some piggies. If you are, please do some research first, the way you introduce them is really important and can play a big part in whether they get on. It needs to be done properly, not just adding another one into the cage;

When Lilly and Ollie had settled down, I introduced huts for them, they had holes on two sides so they couldn't become trapped and were made out of cardboard boxes so it wan't a house that they considered theirs reducing the risk of them becoming territorial over it. When they had completely settled down I moved them upstairs into their new cage. It was Silver and Pearl's so I scrubbed it down to get rid of any scents.

Silver and Pearl are now temporarily in Ollie's cage, they also lived in this cage when they first came to live with us. It is just over a 2 by 4 so meets the minimum for 2 piggies but it will not be permanent.

I am hoping in a week or two to try Ollie, Lilly, Silver and Pearl together to see if they would like to live as a herd. It would be lovely for them to have so many friends and would mean I could build them all a nice new cage. We will see how it goes.

I hope you enjoy xxxxx
