A search warrant was served Tuesday morning at a North Side smoke shop, where several people were seen in handcuffs outside the business.

Law enforcement officers were at the Blvck Diamond smoke shop on West Hildebrand Avenue near I-10.



Daniel Mehler, an attorney representing Blvck Diamond and its owners, said he had not been given a copy of the search warrant and did not know what investigators were looking for.

They are a lawful, licensed hemp dispensary," Mehler said. "We're here. They're serving a search warrant. Have not been presented a copy of the search warrant. Not even sure why they're here or what they're seeking.
Mehler said the business is waiting to see what investigators seize and what information is included when the search is completed.
