Patricia Pla Freixa, scientific & technical officer on Nuclear Safety at the Joint Research Centre, explains the collaboration between the group of Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System (GDACS) inside the European Crisis Management Laboratory (ECML) and the nuclear group REMON (Radioactivity Environmental Monitoring and Emergency Preparedness and Response).
GDACS group is dealing with natural hazards worldwide and REMON group can provide to GDACS technical and scientific support in case of a nuclear crisis originated by a natural hazard.
