Looking at every cut of Interstellar, I created a visual board (thisguyedits.com/interstellar) of anything that I noticed and eventually arrived at Murph's room, to be the key to the film's structure. Six scenes takes place in Murph's room prior to the 3rd Act climax with Cooper inside the Tesseract. Notably, Cooper witnesses seven moments as he skips through the different time layers. And there's a reason why.
