Mission 16 to Mission 17.
Funny graphics glitch in mission 16 with the driving wheel in the sky. Also, those tanks didn't seem put up much resistance which is probably some kind of bug too.
The final mission is one of the most interesting ones. You get to chose a vehicle for once.
My final thoughts on Interstate '76: This was my first time playing the game and I had really high hopes for it because I've read nothing but praise about it. The cutscenes and music are truly unique and there are tons of weapons and customization options. But the mission design itself was disappointing. Very basic drive somewhere and destroy the bad guys stuff. But I can imagine that the multiplayer of Interstate '76 is a real blast.
Thanks for watching!
Technical details: This game was insanely difficult to get to run properly. Even though it is available at GoG, they did not do fix any bugs on their version. After spending some time with it I got the software mode to work with Win7 x64, but D3D and Glide instantly crashed upon launch. In addition to that, the game supports only up to 30fps. Anything more introduces gamebreaking bugs like screwed up physics and AI ('wobbly wheels' bug). Any 10 year old computer will easily play this at 100fps so you have to artificially limit the fps somehow. Enabling VSync did not work for me either.
After lots of trial and error (including running it on a retro PC with a 3dfx Voodoo 3 card) I ended up using a Windows XP virtual machine (VMWare) in combination with nGlide, limiting the fps with MSI Afterburner.
