🚙 Drive America’s Highways for approximately 6 miles north along Interstate 471 from Interstate 275 near Ft. Thomas to U.S. Route 50 in Cincinnati, Ohio — crossing the Ohio River for a skyline approach into downtown Cincinnati.
Travel north on Interstate 471 from the Cincinnati Bypass in Northern Kentucky to U.S. Route 50 along the eastern edge of downtown Cincinnati. I-471 is a short but important urban Interstate connecting communities in Campbell County, Kentucky, with Cincinnati and Interstate 71. The entire Interstate measures just under six miles, making it one of the shorter three-digit Interstate routes in the region. Despite its limited length, I-471 serves as a major Ohio River crossing and provides a direct connection between Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
The video starts at the interchange with Interstate 275 near Highland Heights and Ft. Thomas, where I-471 begins its northward run toward Cincinnati. From I-275, the highway travels through the developed suburbs of Campbell County, passing the Ft. Thomas and Southgate areas before approaching Newport. The roadway gradually transitions from suburban surroundings into a denser urban environment as the Cincinnati skyline begins to come into view ahead. Unlike the larger I-71/75 corridor to the west, I-471 provides a more direct approach to the eastern side of downtown Cincinnati.
Continuing north, I-471 passes along the eastern side of Newport before reaching one of the route's defining features: the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge. The distinctive twin yellow arches carry I-471 across the Ohio River between Newport and Cincinnati. Often nicknamed the Big Mac Bridge because of its large yellow arches, the bridge has become a recognizable part of the Cincinnati riverfront and provides one of the most distinctive highway approaches to the city.
After crossing the Ohio River into Ohio, the highway enters Cincinnati near the eastern side of downtown, with views of the riverfront, city streets, and surrounding hillsides forming the final portion of the drive. This video ends at the interchange with U.S. Route 50, which provides connections toward downtown Cincinnati and the city's eastern riverfront corridor. I-471 itself continues a short distance beyond this point before terminating at Interstate 71 northeast of downtown.
Although only a few miles long, this segment of Interstate 471 packs several distinct environments into a short drive: Northern Kentucky suburbs, the increasingly urban streetscape around Newport, the Ohio River crossing, and a direct approach toward the Cincinnati skyline. It is a compact Interstate drive that functions both as an important regional connection and as one of the more visually interesting highway entrances into Cincinnati.

🚙 Drive Americas Highways for 32 miles north along Arkansas Highway 123 from Sand Gap to Western Grove.
We start the ride from Sand Gap to Western Grove turning north onto Arkansas Highway 123 from a junction with Arkansas Highway 7 just north of Sand Gap. Driving generally north, we travel about 15 miles through the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest to the junction with Arkansas Highway 74 in Mt. Judea. Now driving north on the conjoined AR-74 and AR-123, we leave Mt. Judea to the north where we pass through the community of Vendor before reaching Piercetown.
At Piercetown, we continue north on AR-123 as AR-74 splits to the west. Entering Hasty a few miles later, the highway turns generally northwest for the remaining 9 miles to Western Grove. At Western Grove, we end the video at the intersection with U.S. Highway 65.

🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 31 miles south along Interstate 65 from I-265 in Louisville to US-62 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky — through rolling hills, farmland, and one of Kentucky’s busiest corridors.
Interstate 65 departs the Louisville metro area at its junction with I-265, quickly transitioning from dense suburban development into a more open and gently rolling landscape typical of central Kentucky. This stretch serves as a major north–south artery, linking Louisville with Nashville and beyond, and carries a steady flow of regional and long-distance traffic. Early in the drive, commercial zones and logistics centers line the corridor, reflecting the interstate’s role in freight movement. As the route continues south, development begins to thin, replaced by patches of woodland, open pasture, and scattered rural homes that hint at the agricultural backbone of the region.
The highway maintains a relatively smooth and modern alignment, with gradual curves and mild elevation changes that follow the natural contours of the terrain. Interchanges along the way provide access to smaller communities and local roads, though much of the drive retains a consistent, uninterrupted rhythm. The surrounding scenery alternates between tree-lined stretches and open fields, offering a balanced mix of shade and wide-open views. Seasonal changes can significantly alter the character of this segment, from lush greens in the warmer months to more subdued tones in late fall and winter.
Approaching Elizabethtown, often referred to locally as E-town, the landscape begins to show signs of increasing development once again. Drive Americas Highways through the heart of Los Angeles along California State Route 2 as it winds from West Hollywood to the edge of the Pacific in Santa Monica. This urban stretch, while relatively short, packs a lot into its roughly 9-mile corridor — offering a vivid cross-section of the Westsides ever-changing streetscapes, culture, and traffic flow. Beginning at La Cienega Boulevard, this portion of Route 2 follows the famed Santa Monica Boulevard westward, threading through some of the most iconic neighborhoods in Southern California.
The journey passes through Beverly Hills — with its manicured medians, upscale retail, and landmark intersections — before continuing into Century City and West Los Angeles. These sections offer a look at the transitional zones of LA’s west side: from high-end shopping and corporate high-rises to more modest commercial strips and residential pockets. As Santa Monica Boulevard nears its end, the route enters the city of Santa Monica proper, a vibrant coastal community known for its walkability, parks, and lively street activity. The route ends at Lincoln Boulevard, just a few blocks inland from the beach, where State Route 2 officially terminates.
While not a traditional freeway or mountain pass like other segments of CA-2, this section is notable for its urban density and historic alignment. It’s one of the few state highways in California that slices through multiple municipalities in such a compact stretch — making it a functional yet fascinating drive for those exploring the Los Angeles basin by car.

🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 71 miles east along the Martha Layne Collins Bluegrass Parkway from Elizabethtown to Lexington, Kentucky — through bourbon country, rolling farmland, and horse country.
The drive begins at Interstate 65 in Elizabethtown, where the Bluegrass Parkway branches eastward across central Kentucky. Traveling northeast, the route soon bypasses Bardstown, crossing interchanges with U.S. Highways 31E and 150 — key connections into a region famed for its bourbon distilleries and small-town charm. The parkway here is lightly traveled, winding through a mix of open farmland, gentle hills, and wooded valleys.
Further along, the highway passes near Bloomfield and Chaplin before reaching the outskirts of Lawrenceburg. This stretch of roadway highlights Kentucky’s agricultural heart, with farms, fields, and the occasional ridge adding variety to the drive. East of Lawrenceburg, the scenery shifts again as travelers approach Woodford County, where iconic horse farms and wide pastures define the landscape. 🚙 Drive Americas Highways for 16 miles west along U.S. Highway 412 from Hayti to Kennett, Missouri.
We start the drive from Hayti to Kennett at the western terminus of Interstate 155 in southeast Hayti. As the highway becomes U.S. Highway 412, we continue northwest, bypassing Hayti and Hayti Heights to the south and southwest, respectively.
At the intersection with MO-84, we turn due west for 14 miles to Kennett. Entering Kennett, we pass the intersection with Missouri Route 25 before making a brief pit stop for fuel before ending the video a block later at the junction with Missouri Route 84 west.
