In this video, Saima and Bibisha — international students at Riveria — share their experiences studying Restaurant and Catering Services in Finland. They talk about hands-on learning, supportive teachers and workplaces, and what they learned during internships in lunch and fast-food restaurants.
A key takeaway from their story: learning Finnish matters. While you can complete practice/internships with limited Finnish, language skills become essential for jobs, following recipes, kitchen communication, and working safely and efficiently. They also highlight Finnish work culture: punctuality, hygiene, teamwork, and asking for help when needed.
