Let’s get started with intel. The company recently got a new CEO, going from BOB swan to Pat Gelsinger. And Pat has been pretty vocal about how it wants intel to be. He said things like Intel has its best days in front of us or saying that AMD’s lead is over and that they have a defined view to be the leaders in every dimension. You know, Dreams.
And pat has big dreams for intel. Even after losing a sizeable chunk of the market to AMD and losing apple’s business to said company’s own in-house silicon design. But it seems like he holds no grudge towards Apple.
In a recent interview, pat said: “Apple decided they could do a better chip themselves than we could,” he said. “And, you know, they did a pretty good job. So what I have to do is create a better chip than they can do themselves. I would hope to win back this piece of their business, as well as many other pieces of business, over time. in the meantime, I’ve gotta make sure our products are better than theirs, that my ecosystem is more open — and vibrant — than theirs, and that we create a more compelling reason for developers and users to land on Intel-based products,”
Inspiring words coming from the CEO of the company who recently took a dig at the apple with a “ Go PC Ad”. That ad by the way felt a lot like those “Real people, not actors” ads for Chevys. In any case, I do hope the best for intel. Cant keep AMD at the top for too long, competition is great for pricing.
