Insulin resistance means that the cells in your body are having a hard time accepting the sugar that the body’s insulin is trying to deliver.
If the cells cannot accept the insulin, the sugars just sit in the bloodstream. This causes the high blood sugar levels found in diabetic patients.
The Scarborough Health Network has sponsored the creation of over a hundred educational videos for type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
