"God's Son" is the sixth album by American rapper Nas. It came out on December 13, 2002, under Ill Will and Columbia Records. The album was made from 2001 to 2002 with help from various producers like Salaam Remi, Chucky Thompson, Ron Browz, Eminem, and The Alchemist. Some of the songs were influenced by the passing of Nas' mother in early 2002. "God's Son" talks about different topics like religion, violence, and Nas' own feelings. Critics say it's one of Nas' most heartfelt albums.

Nas started his music journey in 1989 as "Nasty Nas" and recorded demos with the help of another East Coast rapper, Large Professor. His debut album, Illmatic (1994), was loved by everyone and is seen as one of the best hip hop albums ever. In 2020, it was added to the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry. His second album, It Was Written (1996), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over a quarter-million units in its first week.
