Using surveyor corner pins, set up batter boards and string lines on at least 2 sides of the foundation, locating string line 1" away from the face of ICF block. Make height of the string line about 4" higher than footing height so string lines clear Fastfoot®.

Set up builder's level or laser in the center of excavation and write the following information on foundation plan:

Elevation of excavation in all areas where the footing is located (string lines make it easy to locate the center of the footing);
Distance of steps from nearest corner;
Height of bottom of ICF wall (top of footing);

Send this information to your component manufacturer (or use this information to build your own components). Indicate if steel is required in the footing and bottom two rows of block as it is often more efficient to pre-install steel in the corner components. Or send this information to Fab-Form and they will provide detailed component drawings for your installation.
Set up laser or builder's level in the center of the excavation, adjust sensor to read footing height plus two ICF blocks.

Use 1x4 spacer (allowing 1/4"), to align each component to string line. Use portable drill with a 12" extensiton and 6mm hex bit to adjust side supports. For rapid leveling, use two people: the person on the inside uses the sensor to measure height of his side of block; then the person on the outside uses a 2' level to measure when the wall is plumb.

Aligning sequence: position and level foundation components from coarse to fine. When first instaling components, work to an accuracy of 1/4". After four courses of block and steel are in place, then work to an accuracy of 1/16" to 1/8".

IMPORTANT: Ensure the ground under the pads is solid so there is NO possibility of settlement.
Corner Components

Start with a single corner component and work in a clockwise direction. Bring each face 1" from string line using the 1x4 spacer and do a rough height adjustment. Ensure fabric center line is located directly under the center of wall.
Straight Components

Back off middle pair of supports so they don't touch ground. Place component in position and do a rough leveling on end supports. Ensure joint goes together smoothly, then separate components and run two small beads of foam glue along the supporting vertical and horizontal edges. Press the glued joint together and level up. Use 36" zip ties to hold joint together if necessary. Check to ensure centerline of Fastfoot® is centered under wall.

Install footing and wall steel. Use opening in the fabric between components to assist in installation. The claw of a hammer can be used to slide footing steel inside Fastfoot®.

Once lower level components have been installed around perimeter, continue installing blocks and reinforcing steel up to four blocks high. Button up Fastfoot® overlaps with 1" washers and 1-1/2" x #8 coarse wood screws.
