G'day everyone,
With the frame of the inner shell of the workshop now made, it is time to cover it up with plasterboard. This was a step that was always going to happen, regardless of whether I needed a soundproof workshop or not. But since I am going for a soundproof workshop, the decision was taken to double and triple up the plasterboard.
Triple plasterboard may sound like overkill, but since the plasterboard in Australia is much thinner than in other countries, I was at a disadvantage with the amount of mass standard plasterboard could offer, and mass will help do damp those low bass frequencies.
Price/thickness of plasterboard - 3 layers of 10mm with sealant came up on top.
