Pipe racks can be very congested, making it hard to access with standard outdoor drones or man lifts, so Andres is now using the Elios 3 UT to reach spots you wouldn't normally be able to see from the ground or with bigger drones from above. "[The Elios 3] allows you to get into those hard-to-get-to spaces. A lot of the time it's just a couple of feet between the tiers of a pipe rack, and we are able to get the Elios 3 in there to inspect the underside and the top of each tier of the pipe rack," says Andre.

Andre then goes on to say that pipe rack inspections with drones are a lot faster compared to using traditional means like scaffolding or rope access. "Depending on the length of the pipe rack, it may take us 10 minutes for about 50 feet (15 metres), and we can safely carry out the inspection from the ground."
