(KUTV) — A national climbing champ in the Salt Lake valley is now preparing for world competitions in Austria. And she's doing it all blind.

Whitney Pesek, 30, just can't get enough of climbing.

"When I'm on the wall, nothing else exists," she said.

Pesek is legally blind.

"I've lost most of the vision in my left eye, and I have a little bit in my right," she explained.

She can't see faces, but can see some colors and shapes.
