Today we explored one of the poorest and "most dangerous" neighborhoods in Medellin. The government ranks certain areas based on how nice they are, and today we are exploring zones ranked #1 and #2, some of the poorest and most dangerous in Medellin. Is it safe to travel in Medellin? What better way to find out than to go to one of the most dangerous places in the city.
It's always an adventure leaving the house with almost no plan...but it pays off when we we randomly meet strangers in the streets of Medellin, who are eager to show us their hometown in all of its glory. What is life like in one of Colombia's most dangerous neighborhoods? The best way to find out is to walk the streets and meet people. The best tour guide is a local tour guide.
