Inside NEW ERA STORE New York City
Step inside the brand-new New Era flagship store in SoHo, New York City, for a full guided tour with Diego from New Era! Opened in 2026, this NYC location is New Era’s global flagship and one of only two New Era stores in the United States, alongside its hometown location in Buffalo, New York.
Diego takes us throughout the store while sharing the history of New Era, explaining the different cap styles, and showing us exclusive collaborations and products. We start in the Launch Section with the latest releases, including the Diet Starts Monday x MLB collaboration featuring a special take on the 19TWENTY cap. We also check out the backpack wall designed by an international studio in Japan and the Elevated Basics collection of classic New Era-branded caps.
The Focal Wall features exclusive New York sports collaborations with the Yankees, Mets, Knicks, Nets, Jets, Giants, and Liberty. We then explore the Global Design Project, featuring designs inspired by New Era teams in Japan, Korea, and Europe, including an exclusive red Yankees cap created by the Japan team.
Diego also shows us collaborations with Buffalo-based Dishin and Brooklyn-based Three Looms, including exclusive New York Rangers, Islanders, Jets, Giants, Knicks, Yankees, and Mets caps available only at the NYC flagship. We see official NFL Sideline caps, MLB On-Field caps, tons of exclusive Yankees and Mets designs, the Essentials Fear of God x MLB collection, Diablos Rojos del México gear, and New Era's novelty mini hats.
We also learn how a New Era cap is made through a 22-step process and explore walls featuring some of the brand’s most famous silhouettes, including the 59FIFTY, 9FIFTY, 9FORTY, 9SEVENTY, 39THIRTY, and 19TWENTY.
Finally, we head into The Garage, New Era’s in-store customization area. Diego shows us exclusive patches, New York Knicks championship patches, custom pins, heat pressing, and the Cap Lock machine, which uses steam to restore structure to worn or damaged hats.
